About

ABOUT US

Scooters and Mobility Pty Ltd is a collaboration of locally owned small family businesses who operate independently within a unified brand.

With a growing network of 19 stores positioned Australia wide; and with many new stores being launched, Scooters and Mobility combine the best attributes of family owned local business with the benefit of National support.

We pride ourselves on our after-sales service, and are supplier approved sales & service agents for the brands we represent within the Assistive Technology industry. It is important to us that you not only have high-quality mobility equipment but that it will be running as smoothly and as safely as possible whilst it is in your use.

As authorised stockist of  leading brands such as Shoprider, Merits, Afikim, Pride, Invacare, Theorem Concepts, Novis, Redgum & ICare, we will be guaranteed to be able to assist you with a long-lasting aid to suit your lifestyle. These brands are all TGA (Therapeutic Goods Association) tested, which means that all of their items have met the strict standard as required by the TGA and the aligned worldwide bodies such as the FDA (Food and Drug Administration).

When Dealing with  Scooters and Mobility, we are your guarantee of a quality item that will be of great benefit to you, not only for today but for many tomorrows as well.

Scooters and Mobility’s vision is to be the first-choice brand of assistive technology equipment in every market in which we operate.

Things to Consider When Buying a Mobility Scooter

Before buying a scooter, make sure that you have the necessary physical and mental ability to operate the scooter.

Scooters are great for people that can still operate a vehicle but are challenged in walking extended distances.

In considering what kind of scooter you are looking to buy you should think about things like:

  • where is the scooter going to be used, and what is it going to be used for
  • how much space do you have to store the scooter when it is not being used
  • what kind of terrain are you going to be driving the scooter over. Is the terrain rough or smooth, and are there any large hills that you might need to drive up.
  • what kind of warranty does the scooter have
  • how much can you afford to spend

To help you select and purchase a scooter, Blue Badge Insurance created a guide which discusses the things you should consider when buying a mobility scooter.
